European Heritage Days 2024

Guided tours, historical re-enactments, demonstrations, workshops - discover the programme of events on the sites of the Musée National de la Marine.

On 21 and 22 September the European Heritage Days celebrate maritime heritage

There are two main themes running through this 41st event: ‘Heritage of routes, networks and connections’ at European level and ‘Maritime heritage’ at national level in France.

France has the second-largest maritime area in the world, and this theme will provide an opportunity to explore the social and cultural practices closely associated with maritime issues, from shipbuilding and aquaculture techniques to the various traditions of sea festivals.
