The Paris 2024 Olympic Year is an opportunity to highlight the nautical component of the Games at the Musée National de la Marine in Brest, and its five major medal-winning disciplines: sailing, rowing, motorboating, canoeing-kayaking and surfing.

A legendary ship whose history has left its mark on France's naval heritage, the helicopter carrier Jeanne d'Arc remains a strong memory in the hearts of the people of Brest. An exhibition to be seen in the exhibition room of the François Mitterrand - Les Capucins multimedia library, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the 1st campaign of the Jeanne (1964-2024).

Virginie Hériot. A yachtswoman on the summit of Olympus

First female Olympic medal-winning sailor at the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam, Virginie Hériot (1890-1932) is being honored in the new exhibition at the National Maritime Museum in Port-Louis.
